I’m a big fan of keeping things quick and simple in the kitchen, but it is also extremely important to me to make healthy, delicious meals – who wants quick and simple if it tastes like cardboard?!
This is why one of my favorite go-to meals is the ‘Bowl’—known in some circles as the Buddha Bowl, Glory Bowl or my personal favorite Hippie Bowl (who couldn’t use a little more free-love at lunch time).
Bowls make a great alternative to the standard lunch time sandwich and are a great transition from the cooler salads of summer to a heartier, belly warming meal.
You can create dozens of great flavour combos and a Bowl is an excellent way to use up veggies or left-overs in the fridge, a technique I like to call ‘same-same but different’.
